Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire Ancestors

I began my business concentrating on my native Norfolk, making full use of my knowledge of the county and the records I had worked with during my time working for Norfolk Record Office. However, my work has frequently taken me to Suffolk and Cambridgeshire and I now feel that I am sufficiently familiar with the records and archives of those counties to offer an expert level research there too.

Whenever possible I work with primary sources. These typically include birth, marriage and death certificates, census returns, parish registers, probate records, court records, newspapers, military records, electoral registers, manorial records, maps, deeds and other parish chest material. I have subscriptions to many online resources and make full use of secondary sources as finding aids.

The popularity of genealogy today combined with the great number of online resources mean that many people can trace their family trees quite far back themselves. However, sooner or later most come up against a brick wall and this is where my knowledge of my area, its records, archives and finding aids can prove so useful.
